Why do .tmp files appear

Are you saying that these tmp files are being created based on how they are opening and closing these files?

The only thing I could think of was the autosave feature which caches a copy of the file for restoration purposes, and I disabled that. Let me know if you know of any other feature that would cause TMP files to constantly increment. Thanks for the input.
